Dear Melanie, May 24, 2007

I hardly know where to start in thanking you for all you did for our daughter Krista's wedding. Throughout the year our family and friends would ask us how things were going in planning a wedding long distance. I was happy to tell them it must be going well because our daughter seemed to be on top of things and showing surprisingly very little stress. When you consider that Krista was not from the Fargo-Moorhead area, she had a job, she didn't have a car, it was her senior year in college, she was going on job interviews, planning where they would move to, graduating a week before the wedding and finally the planning of her wedding while her family was in Georgia, you did an amazing job. I never felt the need to contact you until Krista’s maid of honor needed some help in planning a surprise for the bride. Throughout the year whenever Krista asked a question of me about the wedding I was so glad I could just say "why don't you ask Melanie". On the day of the wedding when Krista said she had accidentally left her suitcase at our hotel followed by her bridesmaid saying "I don't know how I'm going to get my car from the hair salon where the limo picked us up" I only had to think for a moment before I said to them "Melanie". You had just the right amount of the relaxed don't worry attitude mixed with it’s time to meet this deadline that kept everything running smoothly throughout the year. During the big day you managed the behind the scenes activities without us even noticing that you were there. Whenever we did need you for something you were always just a glance over the shoulder away.

Many thanks,

Julie
